Meet Your Fundraising Coach

Betty Xie

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here.

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re tired of another season of fundraising scramble. I see you—and I know exactly how that feels.

I started my fundraising journey as a solo fundraiser at a small film festival I deeply loved. I know what it’s like to stay late at the office prepping sponsorship packages, juggling the roles of fundraiser, event planner (and five other hats), and wondering if fundraising will ever feel like anything other than reacting under pressure. I didn’t have a big team, a fancy CRM, or a fundraising coach. What I had was a passion for the arts, a calendar full of deadlines, and the stubborn belief that there had to be a better way.

Fast forward a decade, and today I help arts organizations build fundraising practices that support their mission—and their sanity. With my team at Forward Avenue, we partner with small and mid-sized nonprofits through our done-for-you fundraising service, becoming an extension of your team and helping you grow with intention.

My promise to you? This webinar isn’t about doing more. It’s about shifting how you approach the in-between seasons—so fundraising feels less like a scramble and more like a steady rhythm that sustains you and your team.

See you on the 17th.

Oddside Arts

Special Guests

We’re thrilled to be joined by Queen Kukoyi and Nico Taylor, the visionary Co-Directors of Oddside Arts—a Black-led, interdisciplinary arts organization committed to equity, public art, and community transformation. Over the past year, we’ve collaborated with Queen and Nico to refine their fundraising strategies, align their messaging, and build a stronger, more intentional fundraising foundation. Among the wins we’ve achieved together: securing seed funding for a research project they had envisioned for years—focused on Black public artists in Canada. They’ll share what shifted in their approach and mindset, and how their fundraising practice has evolved from reactive to rooted in clarity, strategy, and possibility.
