Feeling the year-end fundraising crunch?
As we move into the last quarter of the year, are you scrambling to close the gap—again? Even if you manage to pull it off this year, you know it’s not sustainable. Something has to shift.
Everyone talks about "funding diversification". But is it just a buzzword, or can it actually work for your small arts nonprofit?
Join this FREE webinar with fundraising consultant Betty Xie and nonprofit finance consultant Ananya Ohri, where we’ll break down how to turn diversification into a practical, doable strategy.
In this 60-minute session, you’ll learn how to:
Take a step-by-step approach to broadening your fundraising asks (beyond arts funders)
Understand different types of revenue diversification and how they affect both strategy and long-term financial sustainability
Avoid the trap of creating “new projects just to chase new money” and instead build breathing room for your mission
Who is this for?
Small arts nonprofits that have relied almost exclusively on arts funders. If your entire fundraising history lives inside the arts funding ecosystem, and the idea of stepping outside feels overwhelming, this session is for you.
Organizations dabbling in diversification but still feeling strapped. Maybe you’ve secured different types of funding—grants, donations, sponsorships—but everything is still tied up in rigid project restrictions. You’re unsure how to manage the complexity of multiple funding streams or how to make them work together for real flexibility.
Leaders looking for breathing room. Executive Directors, Artistic Directors, and small-but-mighty teams who are ready to stop patching holes and start planning for long-term sustainability.

Meet Your Fundraising Coach
Betty Xie
Hi, I’m so glad you’re here. If you’re reading this, chances are you’re tired of another season of fundraising scramble. I see you—and I know exactly how that feels.
I started my fundraising journey as a solo fundraiser at a small film festival I deeply loved. I know what it’s like to stay late at the office prepping sponsorship packages, juggling the roles of fundraiser, event planner (and five other hats), and wondering if fundraising will ever feel like anything other than reacting under pressure. I didn’t have a big team, a fancy CRM, or a fundraising coach. What I had was a passion for the arts, a calendar full of deadlines, and the stubborn belief that there had to be a better way.
Fast forward a decade, and today I help arts organizations build fundraising practices that support their mission—and their sanity. With my team at Forward Avenue, we partner with small and mid-sized nonprofits through our done-for-you fundraising service, becoming an extension of your team and helping you grow with intention.
My promise to you? You will walk away from this webinar with a step-by-step guide on how to diversify your fundraising ask NOW and insights on shifting the way you manage funding allocation - so that you can build spacious rooms to grow your mission.
See you at the webinar!
Meet Your Finance and Strategy Consultant
Ananya Ohri
My early days as an arts administrator were overwhelmed with budgets, planning, fundraising, and operations. I tried my best to get these over with so I could focus on community building, art-making, and the exchange of ideas. You know, the real work!
Over time, I realized that these “behind-the-scenes” tasks are not obstacles, but can be powerful levers for shaping values, strategy, and long-term sustainability. They helped me deliver impactful programming, foster rich collaborations with my team and beyond, and crucially, provided an entry point to advocating for larger systemic changes in our sector.
Today, I am a nonprofit finance and strategy consultant who helps executives and their teams bring clarity and confidence to their financial decision-making and strategic planning. I build systems, strengthen capacity, and foster alignment—because how we do our work is just as important as what we do—making it more meaningful and rewarding to bring our vision to life.
